Krispy Kreme Is Giving Out Donuts if You Show Up with a Lottery Ticket
Most of us won't be winning tonight's BILLION-dollar Mega Millions drawing . . . sorry, that's just math. But don't throw that ticket out just yet. You can get a free donut at Krispy Kreme if you show up with ANY lottery ticket. They put out a press release. Quote, "Tuesday's $1 billion lottery drawing reminds us that we definitely hit the lottery when it comes to our fans. So this week, we want them ALL to win some 'dough'."
You can show up today or tomorrow with a lottery ticket, and get a free Original Glazed Doughnut. It's one per customer while supplies last. You don't have to give them the ticket, just show it to them. So you could use the one you bought for tonight's drawing, or that old Powerball ticket that's still floating around in your car. In theory, if someone wins the billion dollars tonight, they could also show up with THAT ticket tomorrow and get a donut. It might just come off as a little greedy.

The Perfect Sandwich Has Ham, Cheese . . . and Ketchup?
Two-thirds of Americans could eat just sandwiches for a full week and be perfectly happy. That's according to a new survey that on what the "perfect sandwich" looks like. But some of these results seem iffy. Cucumbers ranked ahead of lettuce as a topping and the best condiment for a sandwich is supposedly KETCHUP. I guess it isn't that weird on a fried chicken sandwich. Also, 41% think a hot dog is a sandwich, so . . .
Here are a few more stats on our sandwich preferences . . .
- Ham and turkey dominated as our favorite sandwich meats.
- Wheat, sourdough, and multigrain are our top choices for bread. And whatever it is, 58% prefer it toasted.
- Our favorite cheese to use is cheddar, followed by Swiss, American, pepper jack, and provolone.
- Our favorite veggies to toss in a sandwich are tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, lettuce and pickles.
- The condiments that got the most votes are: Ketchup, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, honey mustard and regular mustard.
