Ozzy Osbourne's deteriorating health has forced him to retire from touring, but the Prince of Darkness is adamant on playing a final show—and he wants his former Black Sabbath bandmates to be part of it.

Geezer Butler opened up about the potential reunion during a recent interview. “Ozzy was talking to me about, when he does his farewell concert – which he still wants to do – He’s dying to still get out there and play,” the former Black Sabbath bassist revealed. “And he suggested, at his very final concert, for the four of us to get up on stage and maybe do three or four songs together. And that would be it, finished.”

This isn't the first time there's been discussion about a Black Sabbath reunion. Former drummer Bill Ward weighed in on the prospect over the summer, saying: "I’m in for playing some of everyone’s old favorites. Loved playing them then, I’d love to play them one last time. I’m not going to talk about my health publicly except to say, everyday I’m pretty good for 76 years old, I’m active musically every day, and I have a very busy and gratifying life."

Guitarist Tony Iommi has also expressed interest in playing a final show—as long as everyone's healthy enough to do it.

Black Sabbath last performed together in 2017. Ward wasn't part of the reunion after leaving the band in 2012, citing an "unreasonable contract" as his reason for quitting.
