Guns n' Roses bassist Duff McKagan is putting the finishing touches on a solo album, which he'll release next year.
McKagan has been working on the as-yet-untitled project in between GnR tours since March with producer Shooter Jennings, the son of the late outlaw country legend Waylon Jennings. He considers it a musical follow-up to his 2015 book, How to Be a Man (And Other Illusions).
Although he's done a lot of band albums outside Guns n' Roses, including three with Duff McKagan's Loaded, this will be just his second solo album and his first in 25 years. In 1998, he recorded Beautiful Dreamer, which remains unreleased after being shelved due to a record label merger at the time.
