You ever gotten fries at McDonald's, and the box they came in was damn near empty? Well, two former employees recently claimed on Reddit that it's ON PURPOSE!
One said they were actually TRAINED to pinch the carton in a certain way when they poured the fries in, so it would look full even though it wasn't. Then a former manager at another location backed them up, saying they were taught the same thing.
McDonald's is denying it completely, of course. They said quote, "The notion of a secret trick is absolutely false. There are strict procedures in place to ensure that fry boxes and bags are appropriately filled."
All I know is they better have bonus fries in the bottom of the bag.
